What are Unconverted Pets?
The term "Uncoverted" pets, just refers to the old art of the pets. The most elusive and most sought after pets in the game are unconverted pets, just because of the fact that their no longer obtainable by any means, except by getting them from another owner.

When did this change occur?
On April 27, 2007 TNT surprised Neopia with a huge new addition to the site ; being able to customize your pets with various clothes/accessories. With this new addition to the site, came another big surprise ; redraws of every pet on the site. Most of the pets were automatically converted, but TNT decided to keep certain colored pets the way they are and give the users the option of whether or not to convert them.

Will my pet automatically convert once transferred/pounded?
No. Pets will remain unconverted with their 'clothes' when pound/transferred, and won't be auto-converted.

How can I create an unconverted pet?
As much as all of Neopia would love for the answer to this question to be yes, you can't. Unconverted pets were only given to those who originally had the pets before the conversions.

How do I know if my pet is unconverted?
Under your Quick References, there will be a message next to your pet's name stating "_______ must be converted to be fully customizable. Clink 'here' for more information."

Will changing genders give me the other version of the unconverted pet?
NO. If you tried to change the gender of let's say a RoyalBoy, into a RoyalGirl, then you won't get the RoyalGirl art. Your pet will turn into a female, but the artwork will remain as a RoyalBoy.

What clothes can a unconverted pet wear?
Unconverted pets can only wear ;
Background
Foreground Items
Music
Sound Effect
Thought Bubble
Nothing that goes directly onto the pet, can be worn by an unconverted.

What can convert my unconverted pet?
Repainting them, labbing them, random events (Doesn't apply if your over 36 months) or converting them yourself.

What are the species which don't contain any unconverted pets?
Lutaris & Origins.

Do unconverted pets show emotion?
No, UC pets do not show any form of emotion or illness.
